Dear Friends,

I wanted to share with you the following information on the Ancient Order of Hibernians final charity event for 2010! This is the BIG one for all of the charities this year!!!


This year the committee is offering a great combination - A Crabfeast with Pit Beef!

Pricing and timetables are different this year..... !

Table Discount -- If we sell tickets for a table of ten (10) we'll be able to take advantage of the discount offerred prior to Sept.1st. That discount price is $40 pp at the table.

Note: Individual costs for ordering tickets by themselves, or after 9/1 will be $45.00pp.

[So we must get a group of 10 people together, and I'll serve as your liason for the affair to keep a good count per table. The discount is good as long as I receive the check by late August for the Sept. 1st deadline.]

Maryland Irish Festival
November 12, 13, and 14th 2010

Do you want to help create, assemble and/or research historical exhibits for the 2010 Maryland Irish Festival?

Do you have, or know of someone who has, items that would enrich our knowledge of the Irish experience in Maryland and the Region?

This year we are proud to invite members of Maryland’s Irish-American community to help inform the Festival’s visitors about the important contributions of the Irish to the history of Maryland and the region.

Irish Charities of Maryland wants to provide a forum for self-expression and community participation. We want to allow both professional and amateur historians, archeologist, and collectors to preserve and protect the Irish cultural legacy of Maryland.

MEN IN KILTS
2010
COMPETITION

We are looking for a few Good Men! The Maryland Irish Festival will host it’s Second Annual Men in Kilts Competition on Sunday November 14th at 5pm in Antrium Hall. You may register online, by mail, or at the Festival Information Booth. There will be 5 award categories: Best Fireman/Policeman, Best Every Man, Over 50, Knobby Knees, and Judge’s Choice (Big Fella).

Contestants will be judged on the following:

Authenticity; Style; Personality and Presentation

Any man wearing a kilt is welcome to participate.

Baltimore GAA is recruiting players
for our Fun Fall Gaelic Football

-We play Fun, Co-ed, Social Games, we're recruiting new players for
our fall leagues, no experience required. 
We'll teach you all the skills, you bring your passion for sports!
-Gaelic football is a fun mix of soccer, volleyball and basketball, fast paced and high scoring game, easy for everyone to learn.
-League will run: Four Sundays in Oct (Oct 5, 12, 19, 26)  from 11am-1pm, we'll head to the pub afterwards!

-Where: Latrobe  Park (  Fort Ave and  Andre St , Balt ,  MD 21230 )

 

CCE Ceili and Set Dance Lessons
The monthly ceili sponsored by the O'Neill Malcom Branch of CCE is held
at the Green Acres Center, 4401 Sideburn Road, 22030, in Fairfax City,
